James Brady, 30 Years LaterOn Mar. 26, 2011, National Public Radio (NPR) aired an interview with James Brady, the former press secretary to Ronald Reagan. Brady was shot in the head by an assassin’s bullet intended for the President. Brady and his wife describe there life and work since that fateful day. Congressional Brain Injury Task ForceDid you know that there is a Congressional Brain Injury Task Force whose mission is to further education and awareness of brain injury and (most importantly) support funding for basic and applied research on brain injury rehabilitation and development of a cure? The task force is headed by Rep. Bill Pascrell of New Jersey and Todd Platts of Pennsylvania. Members of the task force are U.S. Congressman and Senators. Click on this link to Rep. Pascrell’s Congressional Brain Injury Task Force webpage. His page contains links to the task force’s newsletter as well as links to legislation (laws) and appropriations (funding) related to brain injury. Search this list of Congressional Brain Injury Task Force members for your congressmen and/or senators.
